Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid opened along with most of New Fantasyland on December 6, 2012. Your journey Under the Sea begins outside of Prince Eric’s castle as you enter the world of The Little Mermaid. Don’t worry if you have to wait in the standby line as you will be entertained by Scuttle and a little interactive game involving a blue crab and Ariel’s whosits and whatsits galore. Soon enough you will be boarding your very own clamshell vehicle and begin this beautiful journey under the sea. The ride is a slow moving, 6 minute journey under the sea that takes you literally into the world of The Little Mermaid. You will encounter all of your favorite characters and scenes from the classic including Scuttle, Sebastian, Flounder, Ursula, King Triton and more! A truly enjoyable attraction for any fan of The Little Mermaid. FastPass+ is available but not necessarily needed most of the time. We would suggest experiencing the interactive queue at least once.

Touring Tips

• If you ride early morning or late evening lines will be very minimal

• Make sure you watch The Little Mermaid before your trip. You will be surprised how many small details you will pick up from the movie that are placed in the attraction.

• If you are a big Ariel fan visit her at Ariel’s Grotto after you finish this attraction. You can tell her you just visited her world. You will have a lot to talk about!
