Celebrate the Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort

 

While July tends to be one of the busiest months to visit Walt Disney World if you are visiting over the 4th of July holiday the parks do become even more populated.  The 4th of July is one of the most popular times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney makes sure there is always something going on to keep you occupied.  The holiday is typically celebrated on both July 3rd and the 4th with special fireworks, shows, specialty snacks and beverages, unique character interactions and a whole lot more.

What’s going on at the Magic Kingdom during the 4th of July holiday?

  • The Magic Kingdom will celebrates the holiday with the Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky fireworks spectacular.  Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will be shown both July 3 and July 4, 2018 at 9:15 pm.  This fireworks spectacular runs 15 minutes and celebrates the traditions, spirit and Patriotic music of America.
  • Tomorrowland and Frontierland will feature DJ lead dance parties
  • If you want to continue the Patriotic fun head on over to Liberty Square for The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History show.  Check times guide for showtimes but typically they perform at 11:30 am, 12:10 pm, 1 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:05 pm, 4:10 pm, 4:45 pm, 5:25 pm, 6:15 pm, and 6:45 pm.  

What’s going on at Epcot during the 4th of July holiday?

  • On July 4th Epcot’s Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will conclude with a special Independence Day tag at the end.  The normal show will run but the finally will fill the sky with Patriotic flair. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will perform at 9 pm on July 4.
  • You can meet your favorite Disney characters all dressed up for the holiday at Epcot.  Mickey and his friends will be at the The American Adventure Pavilion wearing their Independence Day outfits ready to take photos.
  • Enjoy special evening concerts of great American songs by Voices of Liberty at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the America Gardens Theater.

 

What’s going on at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the 4th of July holiday?

  • There are no Independence Day specific celebrations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios but if you do find yourself celebrating the holiday there make sure you check out Star Wars – A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show at 10 pm.

What’s going on at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during the 4th of July holiday?

  • There are no Independence Day specific celebrations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom but there is a specialty Fourth of July cupcake featuring an apple-pie filling.  You can find the special Independence Day treat at Creature Comforts and Isle of Java.
