Magic Kingdom Parades and Fireworks
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is the Magic Kingdom’s 3 pm day time parade. The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade has a Fantasyland theme with dancers and floats from Tangled, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Brave, Sleeping Beauty plus many other classic Disney movies are represented including Mickey and Minnie Mouse. One of the highlights of this parade has to be the 26 foot tall fire breathing Maleficent Dragon during the Sleeping Beauty segment. The unbelievable detail of this parade makes it impossible to see everything with just one showing. Make it a point to watch this parade a couple of times from different locations. The parade begins in Frontierland near Splash Mountain, travels through Liberty Square, through The Hub, down Main Street U.S.A. and finishes after it passes through Town Square.
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade made its debut in the Magic Kingdom on March 9, 2014.
Touring Tips
• We have found the area where the parade begins, near Splash Mountain, to be a great viewing area and is a bit out of the way of the crowds.
• The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is subject to cancellation due to weather. Typically a “rainy day” mini parade will run instead.
