The popular Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs is celebrating its third year in style by upping its tree total to an astounding 27 trees! This year there are five new, and dare we say AMAZING, themed trees that have been added to the holiday attraction.
The Christmas Tree Tail is located in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs and became an instant holiday tradition when it debut in 2016. The trail features 27 Christmas Trees, falling snow, holiday music and specialty food and beverages. The best part…it is free to enjoy! The food and beverages can be purchased but you do not need to pay anything to simply experience the tree trail. Every one of the 27 trees are highly decorated in amazing detail and each carry a distinct Disney theme.
Disney Springs has added even more magic this year with five new trees. Making their debut at the 2018 Christmas Tree Trail is the Haunted Mansion, Star Wars, Toy Story, Walt Disney World Theme Parks and a Disney Springs themed tree.
The Haunted Mansion Christmas Tree features a plethora of “ghoulish” decorations including the famous clock, baubles from regions beyond, Madame Leota tombstone and more. The centerpiece of this tree has to be the hauntingly realistic Haunted Mansion Bride that sits upon the actual tree. Talk about spooky!
The Star Wars Christmas Tree doesn’t sit alone, as there are two smaller trees to the left and right of the centerpiece tree. The left tree represents the light side while the right tree prominently features the dark side. These trees simply feature blue and red lights. The centerpiece Star Wars tree is filled with Jawa and BB-8 ornaments, tie fighters and more. The tree topper could be the most iconic Star Wars item of them all, a lightsaber.
The Christmas Tree Trail also features a new Toy Story Christmas Tree. This tree features Green Alien ornaments (same design as the ones currently in Toy Story Land), Woody’s Sheriff Badges, Paper Garland, Pixar Ball and yes even the little green army men just like at the end of the first Toy Story film. The tree topper features Angel Kitty from the Pixar short Toy Story That Time Forgot.
The Walt Disney World Theme Parks Christmas Tree could be one of the neatest in the entire Christmas Tree Trail. The first thing that pops out when you walk up to it are the Monorails that look to be running around the tree. The tree itself features the icons from the four theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom). It wouldn’t be a Walt Disney World Theme Park without a fireworks display. The tree topper is just that!
The final tree that has been added to the 2018 Christmas Tree Trail represents Disney Springs. It is a simple tree that is adorned with gift tags that feature the logos of all of the great shops and dining establishments located throughout the Springs.
