This past weekend was one for the record books for “Supers”. Incredibles 2 took in a record $180 million in the box office on its opening weekend breaking the record for the animated film genre.
We all knew that the second installment of the Parr family adventures would do very well in theaters but breaking the previous record by almost $45 million is pretty “incredible”. Incredibles 2 surpassed the 2016 Pixar film, Finding Dory which took in $135 million during its opening weekend.
What was also very impressive was the fact that Incredibles 2 had an opening weekend in the box office that was worthy of taking over the eight spot in all-time opening weekends leaping over Captain America – Civil War ($179.1 million).
Do you think Incredibles 2 will be strong enough to keep bringing in the money in the box office and move up the all-time list? Talk about it in our all-new WDW Kingdom Forums!
