Yes, they do exist! We know some of you have been trying to get your hands on the newly released Target exclusive Special Edition Mickey Mouse Goldfish crackers and have been having a hard time finding them. We are happy to report that they are out there. We recently picked up a couple for a little taste test and review.
Goldfish crackers, made by Pepperidge Farm, have been around for well over 50 years now. The tasty baked cracker snack is also a favorite amongst kids and adults alike. With Mickey Mouse turning 90 years old this year, Disney and Pepperidge Farm teamed up to produce a Special Edition Mickey version of their famous crackers to honor the Mouse. This is not Disney and Pepperidge Farm’s first collaboration of characters and Goldfish crackers as there are Special Editions of Dory and Lightening McQueen as well as Incredibles 2 available.
The flavor of the Mickey Mouse version of the crackers is the tradition cheddar. There are two package variations to choose from. The first shows Mickey with his hands on his hips and smiling with little Mickey icons in the background. The second variation displays a walking and winking Mickey with some great quotes that serve as the backdrop. Some of the quotes that are on the packaging include “In Honor of the True Original”, “Beyond Classic”, “Celebrate the Mouse” and “the One & Only”. The back of the packaging boasts “Two True Originals!”, referring to the history of Mickey Mouse as well as the history of Goldfish.

Below these quotes you will find a “connect the dots” game, grab your pencil and complete the drawing of Mickey. Both package variations have the same game.
There are two versions of the crackers inside the packaging. The first is the traditional yellow goldfish and the second is a red Mickey Mouse icon. Both taste the same and we are happy to report, just like Pepperidge Farm does with it’s colored crackers, that the coloring is sourced from plants (beet juice and paprika extract). This is one of the reasons that Goldfish is a certified Mickey Check approved snack. Now for our review: The Special Edition Mickey Mouse Goldfish baked snack crackers are simply great! Taste just like you think they would but after every bite I just want to say “oh boy!”. The crackers retail for $1.99.
