For years now there has been a very strong rumor that Disney was planning on adding a Mary Poppins themed area and or attraction to Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion. Well, hold on to your umbrellas…this news was finally announced at today’s D23 Expo!
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products proudly announced at today’s Disney Parks, Experiences and Products presentation that part of Epcot’s transformation will include an upgrade to the United Kingdom pavilion. This upgrade will include an all-new neighborhood, Cherry Tree Lane. Guests will be able to venture right down Cherry Tree Lane and walk into the Bank’s family home and embark on an adventure. No further details were given at this time but this is enough to make any Disney fan excited!
