Walt Disney World just announced some new rules for its theme parks. This includes new stroller guidelines, smoking restrictions and bringing in your own ice.
Beginning on May 1, 2019 all Walt Disney World theme parks will become smoke free. Currently there are designated areas for guests to smoke in each of the theme parks but this will be going away. Disney will continue to have designated areas outside of the parks but not inside. This means Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and ESPN Wide World of Sports will all become smoke free.
New stroller rules will also begin at Disney World on May 1. Stroller MUST be 31″ wide and 52″ long or smaller in order to enter the parks. There are many strollers that do fit these guidelines so please check your specifications before traveling. Stroller Wagons will not be permitted anymore. Regular wagons have not been permitted but over the past year many popular stroller wagons have come onto the market. These will no longer be permitted.
Finally, as of March 28 guests are no longer permitted to bring loose ice or dry ice into the parks. Disney suggests bringing reusable ice packs instead.
