Last year the Disney company started a program to eliminate certain single use plastics across their theme parks. This included plastic straws, lids and even shopping bags. Today, Disney officially rolled out its complete reusable shopping bag program throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
Last fall Disney World introduced a reusable shopping bag option at World of Disney. For a small fee guests were able to choose between three different sizes and the bags featured the Disney Springs logo on one side and Mickey Mouse on the other. The program was a success as today there are now 7 different designs of reusable bags. There is a different design for the Walt Disney World Resorts, Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Disney Springs logo bag (for Disney owned and operated shops) and World of Disney. Each bag features icons and characters distinct to the shopping locations.
The big question is, how much are the Disney World reusable shopping bags? Currently, the small bags are $1.00, medium are $1.50 and the large bags are $2.00. Overall a very fair price. These are not only very functional, they are an inexpensive souvenir that you can take home and use over and over again. These prices also line up with a lot of your typical stores that also offer these types of bags but with character!
