Some of Disney Pixar’s most memorable work has been in the animated shorts that appear prior to the feature film. Bao is absolutely no exception and this weekend only you can watch it for free!
Bao is an almost 8 minute animated short film that first appeared in front of Incredibles 2 (2018). The film is about an elderly Chinese mother from Canada that is always home and lonely. When her baozi dumpling magically turns into a little boy, she gets a second chance at motherhood. Bao is born and the emotional journey begins.

The Pixar short directed by Domee Shi has been added to the list for the Oscar’s Best Animated Short. Is it good enough to win the highly coveted award? If it was up to me then absolutely but it’s not so we will just have to wait. The Oscars will announce their short list of nominees on January 22, 2019 and announce the winner on February 24, 2019.
You can watch Bao for free until 11 pm Sunday December 23, 2018. What do you think about this animated short? Talk about it in our all-new WDW Kingdom Disney Forums!
