Walt Disney World just announced an all-new VIP Tour experience that will excite just about any Disney Foodie. The Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour will bring guests right into the magic of Disney culinary with behind the scenes access, stories from the chefs and even a taste of what has yet to arrive in the parks!
On the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour guests will experience a 3 hour look and taste experience lead by one of the amazing Walt Disney World VIP Guides. Guests participating in the tour will experience conversations with Disney Chefs and the Cast Members that make the magic. They will share stories which may include the history of food in the Disney Parks and what goes into the “Imagineering” of new menu items. The tour also pulls back the curtain a bit and gives guests access to areas never before allowed. Participants will have access to backstage kitchens and see what goes into the production of serving millions of guests a year. Talk about VIP access!
What is a culinary tour without getting to taste some of the amazing food? Another stop on the Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour allows guests to experience and try some of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved menu items. Are you hungry yet? If tasting some of the park’s iconic food isn’t enough, guests also get to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at what the chefs are creating for the future. The best part of this, the experience includes sampling the food that is in development! Yup, I’m hungry!
The Taste of Magic Kingdom Park VIP Tour is offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and begins on February 24, 2019. The cost of the tour is $99 per person (plus tax) and admission to the park is also required. Check-in for the experience is located at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and must be done at least 15 minutes prior to the 9 am start.
Please take note of the things you need to know before you go!
- All Guests will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival in order to participate in the tour.
- Guests must be at least 12 years of age to participate in this experience.
- Tour participants below the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian, and must be accompanied at all times on the tour by their parent, legal guardian, or an accompanying adult.
- Tour members exhibiting symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, sore throat with fever, persistent sneezing, coughing or a runny nose and/or discharge from eyes, nose or mouth that cannot be controlled by medication or jaundice (yellow skin or eyes) are prohibited from participating in the tour.
- This is an outdoor walking food experience, so check the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
- Proper attire is required: heels, open-ended shoes not permitted; clog-type shoes must have a closed heel. Sensible walking shoes are strongly recommended. Short-sleeved or long-sleeved shirts are recommended.
- Dining plan entitlements may not be redeemed for this offering.
- Menu selections are designed to appeal to a wide variety of dietary preferences and restrictions, however, modifications and substitutions for individual offerings cannot be accommodated.
- Theme park admission is required and is not included with the cost of the experience.
- While service animals are permitted on the tour, they are not permitted in backstage kitchen and food preparation areas.
- No cameras, video equipment or cell phones may be used while backstage. However, photography is allowed and encouraged in all non-backstage areas.
