Walt Disney Studios has released a new sneak peak trailer as well as character movie posters from the upcoming Mary Poppins Returns.
The newly released Mary Poppins Returns sneak peek gives us a few new clips and a glimpse of a musical number performed by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Bert). Miranda is best known for his performances on Broadway in Hamilton and In the Heights as well as a co-writer and performer on Disney’s Moana soundtrack.
In Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns,” an all new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss. Emily Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London. The new Mary Poppins Returns character movie posters not only features the two stars of the film, Emily Blunt (as Mary Poppins) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (as Bert) but also other members of the cast. Meryl Streep (as Topsy), Colin Firth (as William Weatherall Wilkins) and Julie Walters (as Ellen) all have received their own posters as supporting cast members. The posters are beautiful featuring a blue background with hints of each of the characters personalities as the backdrop.
