A new trailer for the upcoming Walt Disney Studios film Christopher Robin is now available to view. The trailer made its debut on The Ellen Show as Ellen sat down with Ewan McGregor, the adult Christopher Robin, to talk about the upcoming film.
As with most trailers, we can start to speculate about the plot. The trailer begins with a young Christopher Robin enjoying his childhood with all his brought-to-life stuffed animal companions. As the film progresses we see an adult Christopher Robin that is overworked and neglecting his family. When at a crossroads with his career and family he questions himself, “what to do, what to do, what to do?”, an old friend appears. Pooh goes on to explain that he cannot find his friends. With this said, they both set out on a journey to find their old friends. In doing so, Christopher Robin seems to find his inner child and heads back to his family to make everything right again. Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Kanga, Rooh and Piglet all set on an adventure to help unite the entire Robin family.
There are many beautifully whimsical scenes in this trailer and the blend of live-action and CGI are simply amazing. This could be one of the best adaptations of the classic A.A. Milne story “Winnie-The-Pooh” we have ever seen.
