Last summer Ellen DeGeneres got a surprise visit from her famous animatronic-self during an episode of The Ellen Show. This was the first time she got to get up close and personal with this much talked about animatronic from the recently closed Ellen’s Energy Adventure attraction in Epcot. She wanted to bring it home with her then and now she might now get the chance as it is heading to auction.
On Saturday May 5, 2018 auction house Profiles in History, will be running a large high-end “Animation & Disneyana Auction” that will feature hundreds of desirable Disney collectibles. Among other historical items up for auction, the Ellen DeGeneres animatronic will be one to watch. The auction house is predicting the final price will fall between $3,000 – $5,000. We are predicting it will go for more and possibly much more as it is rumored that it just may end up in the hands of Ellen. We will just have to watch and see!
If you want to check out all the catalog of Disney (and more) items that will be auctioned off on May 5th head over to ProfilesinHistory.com. We will be profiling a selection of some of the top items in the coming days so stay tuned.
