Some of the most exciting things about your Walt Disney World adventure is finding hidden magic. Whether its running into a random character, finding a Disney detail you never saw before or discovering one of the many Hidden Mickeys throughout the vast Walt Disney World Resort, these “magical moments” enhance our travels.
It has been said that Hidden Mickeys began to pop up around the parks during the construction phase of EPCOT Center in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Imagineers wanted to add a bit of “character” to a park that was originally not going to include your typical Disney characters. This little challenge amongst Imagineers has turned into a Disney fan phenomenon. Many books and websites have been created about finding Hidden Mickeys. Now you can find them in every park, resort and more!
We wanted to have a little fun and created our own Hidden Mickey Adventure Challenge. We will be posting Hidden Mickey blog posts with each one featuring an up close look at one of the many you can find throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. To make it even more fun, we created a post on our forum where you can post your guess as to where the Hidden Mickey can be found. We will keep a running tally of your correct answers and periodically give out prizes to to our leaders. Sounds like fun, huh! Click this link to read the “official rules”.
