The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is restructuring its security process beginning April 3 to alleviate the congestion at the entrance gates.
Guests that are arriving through the Transportation and Ticket Center will now pass through a security checkpoint before they board the ferryboat or monorail. Guests arriving via the resort monorail will now pass through security checkpoint at the resort monorail station (Disney’s Polynesian Village, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort).
Walt Disney World guests that arrive via bus will have to enter the park through the current security checkpoint at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.
