Currently Closed but will reopen Summer 2019

The Wildlife Express Train is located in the Harambe, Africa area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and is transportation to Rafiki’s Planet Watch (Conservation Station).  Hop aboard the “Eastern Star Railway” locomotive for a roughly 7 minute trip to your only destination, Rafiki’s Planet Watch.  On this short train ride, you will get to experience some backstage areas of Disney’s Animal Kingdom including where some of the animals rest during the nighttime.  The unique seating of this train allows everyone to see as the benches face out to the left unlike the Walt Disney World Railroad in the Magic Kingdom as those face forward.  Once you are finished experiencing Rafiki’s Planet Watch (Conservation Station) you will head back to the station and board the train once again for your 5 minute ride back.  There are some sights and sounds as you head through the backstage area of Asia before you returning to the Harambe, Africa station.  The overall journey is a little over 1 mile.  The Wildlife Express Train is the only way to visit Rafiki’s Planet Watch.  Please see our Rafiki’s Planet Watch page for full description.
