Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is a classic attraction that was first developed for the 1964 New York World’s Fair.  Fast forward to today and it still has the same vibe as it did over 50 years ago.  The Carousel of Progress is a rotating theatre that take you through the technological changes that your typical family saw from the turn of the century to about the mid 1990’s.  There are four scenes that depicts these changes starting with the turn of the century.  The second scene bring you up to a Fourth of July celebration during the 1920’s.  The third scene references the start of indoor plumbing among other advances of the 1940’s.  The final scene is supposed to be the current state of technology but it seems to have been left in the 1990’s.  Each scene changes with the playing of the iconic Sherman Brothers song, There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.  The entire attraction takes about 20 minutes from start to finish.  Typically there is very little wait for this attraction.
