Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is located next to Capt. Cooks at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort across from the Lava Pool.  Created by “Trader Sam” himself, this tiki bar is part attraction, part show and part bar featuring historical references and artifacts of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Tiki Room and other adventurous treasures.  The roughly 50 seat tiki bar comes to life as specialty drinks are ordered from the tasty beverage and appetizer menu.  Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto also features very popular souvenir themed mugs that are included in some of the beverage items including the Shrunken Zombie Head and the Polynesian Pearl.  If you are hungry, the menu does include some great small plate appetizers including Kalua pork tacos and salmon Oshizushi.  We do suggest visiting Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto’s indoor tiki bar but if you cannot get inside (due to popularity) there is patio seating just outside that offers the same menu (minus the amazing atmosphere).
