Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is a high speed, thrilling roller coaster attraction located in the Asia area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Your journey begins even before you board the ride as the queue sets the mood. The highly detailed queue includes information about your upcoming expedition from the “Himalayan Escapes” travel agency, a beautiful temple as well as an amazing “Yeti Museum” featuring artifacts from actual expeditions past. You will board an old train in the village of Serka Zong and begin your adventure in search of the Yeti through the Himalayas and Mount Everest. Expedition Everest reaches a top speed of 50 MPH and travels forwards and backwards but does not have any inversions. Expedition Everest debut on April 7, 2006 and is the tallest “Disney Mountain” at 199 feet. FastPass+ is available for Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and is suggested as it is a very popular attraction.

Touring Tips
• Expedition Everest is one of only a few attractions in Walt Disney World that does offer a single rider line (Test Track in Epcot and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios). You do not get to experience the queue but it may be a quick option to ride. Keep in mind you do not get a choice as to who you sit with.
